Betta or fighter fish :

                                    Betta fish is also know as fighter, fighting fish and etc .its scientific name was Betta splendens.this is widely popular in fish hobbyist . beeta fish is know for its big tail and its bright colour .but in nature betta has short fins and in grey colour.But in the aquarium market  if famous for the colourful fishes.So they hybrid for those colours and for its big fins.


 

                                               This fishes are beginners fish as this fish are hardy and easy to maintain  in the small tanks. You can maintain these fishes in your office table.The beginners will attract by seeing different colour patterns.It has numerous different colour patterns.these colour patterns are due the genetic information of their patterns.


Betta  fishes are very aggressive so they only one fish in  a tank.the interesting that it is the  family  territorial fish as the will fight against its own family not others. So it can be maintained with other fishes also. These fishes are comes under gourami family. Breeding of this fish are quite easy as it can breed in  small tanks.The average size of this fish is 7 cm and average prices is Rs.30 per fish.
